What'a U Smokin' BBQ supports their community and local causes
We would like to encourage everyone -- families and business owners -- to buy locally and support your local farmers and farmers' markets. Most of the ingredients we use here at What'a U Smokin' BBQ are bought locally. Fresh herbs and produce are a huge part of our recipes and menu. We look forward to working with many Lake County, Illinois, and Kenosha County, Wisconsin, organizers to assist in fundraising events throughout the area.
This past year, following the Harrisburg, Illinois, tornado on February 29, 2012, the crew headed down to Harrisburg to spend a couple of days helping the donation collection volunteers and working on clean-up crews all over the storm-ravaged community. Working with the Operation Blessing International support group, the Chefs assisted countless men, women and children alongside other volunteers.
The Chefs challenge everyone to volunteer in their communities and support the efforts of groups who give aid, comfort and assistance to those less fortunate.
When donating items, don't forget our furry friends. Dogs and cats are frequently abandoned or injured during storms, floods and other disasters.
